Executive Summary
Over 70 members of the Medicaid and Reproductive Justice (RJ) Collaborative and allied organizations and individuals submitted comments in response to the Senate Finance Committee’s Request for Information (RFI) on “Health Coverage That Works for Everyone.” The Collaborative works to advance the RJ movement’s vision for Medicaid and universal health care reform. In 2024, it published its “Reproductive Justice Principles for Federal Universal Health Care Reform” for policymakers engaged in such efforts. Our comments offer our “Principles” as an actionable framework for answering the RFI’s questions and ensuring that health care reform is truly supportive of, and does not undermine, reproductive justice.
