Rolonda Donelson is a Fellow at the National Health Law Program through the Maeve McKean Women’s Law & Public Policy – O’Neill Institute Fellowship program. Rolonda received her J.D. from the American University Washington College of Law (AUWCL). During law school she developed her interest in reproductive and sexual health by interning at the Center for Reproductive Rights and incorporating reproductive health topics into her coursework.

She was an active member of the AUWCL community and helped co-found the Women of Color Coalition, a student group created to reflect the unique challenges that women and femmes of color face in the legal field. She participated in the Gender Justice Clinic and was the Digital Media and Outreach Editor of the Journal of Gender Social Policy & the Law. During law school she also co-taught a yearlong curriculum in constitutional law to D.C. high school students as a member of the Marshall-Brennan Constitutional Literacy Project. Rolonda graduated from Brandeis University with her B.A. in International & Global Studies, and Politics with minors in Social Justice & Social Policy, and East Asian Studies.

Rolonda is inspired by the leaders of the reproductive justice movement and seeks to incorporate intersectional perspectives in all her work. She is a fourth-generation Washingtonian and enjoys exploring new D.C. restaurants, going to amusement parks, attending musical theater performances, and practicing languages including French and Mandarin.
