Executive Summary
This webinar provides in-depth analysis of Medicaid “Alternative Benefit Plans” (ABPs). The ABP is the benefits package that most new enrollees in the Medicaid Expansion will receive, and was one of the key topics in final regulations released by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services in July 2013. This webinar provides an introductory overview of the ABP and then goes through numerous complex ABP issues such as: special rules for vulnerable populations, interaction with the Exchange Essential Health Benefits standard, and the process for states to improve their ABPs.
