Skyler Rosellini

Assistant Director of California Policy

Skyler Rosellini is the Assistant Director of California Policy at the National Health Law Program. Skyler’s work focuses on California health policy, with an emphasis on Medi-Cal and Covered California advocacy. Skyler is passionate about expanding the rights of health consumers across California.

Before joining National Health Law Program, Skyler was a Senior Attorney at Bay Area Legal Aid’s Health Consumer Center (HCC), where he advocated for Bay Area residents’ health access rights across eight counties. Skyler worked on a range of issues, including eligibility/enrollment, access to health services, medical debt, and more for consumers insured through Medi-Cal, Covered California, and private insurance.

While at BayLegal, Skyler was also the Outreach Coordinator for the HCC. In this role, he provided trainings and education on health care to the community and supervised name and gender marker clinics with health access screenings for transgender and nonbinary communities. Prior to that, Skyler was in private practice and served on the board of directors for Bay Area Lawyers for Individual Freedom (BALIF) from 2015 to 2019.

Skyler received his B.A. from Saint Mary’s College of California and his J.D. from University of La Verne, College of Law.
