Executive Summary

NHeLP comment letter on the Summary of Benefits and Coverage (SBC) and the Uniform Glossary. With the implementation of the Affordable Care Act, it is critical to ensure that private health care plans provide the appropriate information to all populations in plain language, including limited English proficient populations. Ensuring language access as part of the process for getting SBCs to consumers is an essential part of that implementation.
