NHeLP Senior Attorney Amy Chen examines California’s public health insurance options available to women during pregnancies and for specified postpartum periods. Chen concludes that while public health insurance options in California provide “more generous income limits for pregnant women,” significant “challenges remain for pregnant and postpartum women transitioning between programs, undocumented immigrants, and pregnant and parenting teens.”
