Executive Summary

Reproductive justice is a social movement rooted in the belief that all individuals and communities should have the resources and power they need to make their own decisions about their bodies, genders, sexualities, families, and lives. In this fact sheet, the National Health Law Program along with All* Above AllNational Asian Pacific American Women’s ForumNational Latina Institute for Reproductive Health, and In Our Own Voice: National Black Women’s Reproductive Justice Agenda address how Medicaid is a critical tool in achieving reproductive justice for women of color and other underserved communities.The authors also provide policy recommendations to strengthen and protect the integrity of the Medicaid program.
