NHeLP Vision Forward Fund
Honoring Visionary Leadership. Investing in the Future. Advancing Health Justice.
For more than 55 years, the National Health Law Program (NHeLP) has been a national voice for health equity and justice, ensuring that low-income and underserved communities have access to the quality, affordable health care that they deserve. Under the visionary leadership of Elizabeth G. Taylor since 2014, NHeLP has expanded its reach, deepened its partnerships, and strengthened its role as a trusted advocate for health rights across the nation. Steady, values-driven leadership has shaped who we are today — and built a foundation for what we will become tomorrow.
To cement the legacy of Elizabeth’s leadership and carry her vision forward, NHeLP’s Board of Directors has established the Vision Forward Fund to equip current and future leaders of the organization with the flexibility to respond boldly and strategically to emerging challenges and opportunities. This fund will serve as a strategic opportunity resource that allows future leadership the flexibility to pursue new initiatives, respond quickly to emerging challenges, strengthen partnerships, and invest in organizational capacity. As threats to health rights intensify and funding environments become increasingly unpredictable, this resource will help provide the flexibility future leadership needs to navigate uncertainty, pursue new opportunities, and sustain NHeLP’s effectiveness for decades to come.
While grounded in the spirit of the transformative, values-driven leadership that has defined Elizabeth’s tenure, the fund’s purpose is not retrospective. It is a commitment to the future — to ensuring that NHeLP remains agile, innovative, and resilient as we defend and advance health justice.
The Vision Forward Fund celebrates Elizabeth’s legacy not as something completed, but as something to be sustained and carried forward.
