Andy DiAntonio is the Director of Communications in the D.C. office. As Director of Communications, he works to promote the National Health Law Program and its effort to protect and expand health rights for low-income individuals and communities.

Andy partners with staff in all three offices to develop and implement strategies and tactics, including digital media, to broaden NHeLP’s reach to its key audiences, which include federal and state advocates and policymakers, funders, media, and national and state partner organizations. Before starting at the National Health Law Program, Andy served as the Digital Media Manager at the National LGBT Chamber of Commerce (NGLCC). In this position, he curated NGLCC’s digital footprint. Andy worked to develop and empower the LGBTQ community through entrepreneurship and small business ownership.

Andy’s first stint in communications was with the Yale Office of Public Affairs & Communications, where he worked for the social media department while in graduate school. Before that, he was the Director of Youth Ministry at a large, progressive church in Northern Virginia. Andy earned a Master’s of Art in Religion from Yale University in 2014, with a focus on religion in the United States, and his B.A. from The College of William & Mary in 2010.

A lifelong D.C. area native, he grew up in Northern Virginia and now lives in Mt. Pleasant in Washington, D.C. with his husband Matt, and their two dogs, Dexter and Cersei.
