Executive Summary
NHeLP submitted comments to the Request for Information posted by the Department of Health and Human Services Office of the Assistant Secretary for Planning and Evaluation (ASPE). The RFI asked for public comment on the “mandate-laden” Affordable Care Act and ways to increase consumer choice and competition among insurers. NHeLP comments emphasize the importance of a strong regulatory framework to protect health care consumers. NHeLP further urges the administration to cease its efforts to sabotage health care access by fully funding Cost Sharing Reductions and holding Medicaid managed care companies accountable.
