Mizue Suito is the National Health Law Program’s Director of Development and she is based in its Washington, D.C. office. Mizue joined the National Health Law Program in May 2019 to spearhead the planning of the organization’s 50th Anniversary celebratory events nationwide and to help expand its national fundraising campaign and major gifts program.
With more than 20 years of resource development and strategic planning experience, Mizue is a seasoned fundraiser with a steadfast commitment to social justice. She has served in senior development positions and managed diverse fundraising program portfolios at several national nonprofit organizations, including Equal Justice Works, National Legal Aid & Defender Association, and National Women’s Law Center. Most recently, she served as the director of development at the University of District of Columbia David A. Clarke School of Law where she instituted a successful annual fundraising gala that raises scholarship and fellowship funds for the students.
Mizue holds a bachelor’s degree in government studies from Clark University and a Juris Doctor from the American University Washington College of Law. Originally from Japan, she is fluent in Japanese.
