Manuela Moeller is the Senior Director of People and Culture at the National Health Law Program (NHeLP). With over 12 years of experience in human resource management, she specializes in fostering inclusive workplace cultures and driving strategic HR initiatives.
Before joining NHeLP, Manu served as Director of People & Culture at an accessibility software start-up and as HR Director for several small government contractors. In these roles, she was often the first dedicated HR leader, responsible for building HR and recruitment functions from the ground up, strengthening employer branding, and streamlining processes. Her professional passions include employee engagement and performance management.
Manu holds a Bachelor of Science in Management from George Mason University and a Master of Arts in Human Resource Management, along with a certificate in Organizational Development from Marymount University. She is SHRM-CP and SPHR certified and contributes her expertise as a subject matter expert (SME) volunteer for the HR Certification Institute (HRCI). Since completing the MentorHR program in 2018, she has remained engaged in its leadership to support emerging HR professionals in the DMV area.
Originally from Germany, Manu now resides in Phoenix, Arizona, after spending nearly 14 years in the Washington, DC area. She volunteers with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Arizona and enjoys hiking, CrossFit, and is active in Phoenix’s improv theater and storytelling community.
