As Operations Manager, Kasey oversees the daily functions that ensure the organization runs smoothly and effectively. As part of NHeLP’s Mission Coordination Team, Kasey guides the Operations Team in streamlining internal processes, supporting staff operational needs, and coordinating resources for programs. Kasey’s work as Operations Manager provides the structure and support needed for NHeLP to focus on delivering meaningful impact in protecting and advancing the health rights of low income and underserved individuals.
Kasey is a North Carolina Certified Paralegal and started her career at NHeLP as their first Paralegal. In addition to her Paralegal role, she was an Operations Coordinator where she utilized her educational background in nonprofit management and fell in love with operations.
Prior to working at NHeLP Kasey worked as Paralegal at a Family Law Office providing legal support for three litigating attorneys who represented survivors of domestic violence.
Kasey’s advocacy work has included leading a campaign to change a state public health policy that affected low-income people seeking reproductive health services, supporting a local nonprofit in developing alternatives to law enforcement interventions, and taking on leadership roles in NHeLP’s DEI initiatives.
Kasey received her B.S in Psychology with a Minor in Women’s and Gender Studies and her Master of Public Administration with a focus in nonprofit management at SUNY Brockport in New York State.
