Jessica Gonzalez is the National Health Law Program’s Operations Coordinator. She supports the Mission Coordination Team with the organization’s day-to-day business operations, which includes supporting the Practice Area Managing Director and Practice Area Directors.
Previously at the National Health Law Program, Jessica was part of the Foundations Team and Pro Bono Team focusing on project management of subgrants and engagement of external partners. Prior to this, she provided operational support to California office staff.
Before joining the National Health Law Program, Jessica was a fellow with George Washington University’s Food Policy Leadership Institute. Additionally, she was a public health advocate in the greater LA area, where she helped train youth leaders as advocates for issues involving access to drinking water, school lunches, and safer parks. While in undergrad and later as a fellow she organized with the Real Food Challenge across the Cal State University system to pass a university policy with a commitment to purchasing 20 percent more sustainable food by 2020. She received her B.A. from Cal Poly Pomona.
