Colleen Barbero is Director of Knowledge Management and Innovation at the National Health Law Program (NHeLP), where she supports the development of knowledge sharing and learning systems to advance NHeLP’s advocacy and technical assistance work.
Before joining NHeLP, Colleen served in policy and knowledge translation roles at the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) Innovation Center, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), and in academia. Her work has focused on translating policy and research for health organizations and developing learning systems that advance knowledge of Medicare and Medicaid policy.
Colleen earned a PhD in Public Policy Analysis from Saint Louis University and a Master of Public Policy Administration and Bachelor of Social Work from the University of Missouri–St. Louis.
In her free time, Colleen enjoys spending time with her dogs and watching soccer and basketball.
