Executive Summary

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) go-to resource for anyone interested in improving child health. The Guide was produced by CMS in collaboration with NHeLP under subcontract to the NORC at the University of Chicago. The Guide is intended to help states, health care providers and others to understand the scope of services that are covered under EPSDT so that they may realize EPSDT’s goals and provide the best possible child and adolescent health benefit through their Medicaid programs.
