It’s no surprise that California is a leader state when it comes to the Affordable Care Act. With over one and a half million people already newly enrolled in Covered California and Medi-Cal in just the first month, the state is well on its way to successful implementation of health reform. In this new California Lessons Learned series, the National Health Law Program will share with the rest of the country the good (and the not so good) about what is happening in the Golden State.
The Streamlined Application provides a snapshot into how California’s online application came to be, the strategies advocates used to make it better and the challenges that remain.
