The National Health Law Program (NHeLP) offers all current and new employees a comprehensive package of benefits that include employer-paid medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance, as well as pre-tax savings plans, transportation benefits, a retirement savings opportunity, and opportunities for telework. Medical, Prescription, Dental, and Vision Coverage
NHeLP offers medical, dental and vision coverage to full time employees and their dependents. NHeLP pays 100% of the cost of employee premiums and 75% of the cost of dependent premiums. NHeLP offers coverage premium reimbursement for employees/dependents enrolled on another qualified plan. Our medical insurance is through Blue Shield of California. Our Dental and Vision insurance is provided by Standard Insurance.
Time Away from Work
The National Health law Program provides generous time off benefits. Vacation time starts accruing on date of hire and employees can accrue 22 days (165 hours) of vacation a year, at a maximum of 150 hours that can carry over year to year. Sick time starts accruing on date of hire and employees can accrue 12 days (90 hours) of sick a year, at a maximum of 225 hours that can carry over year to year.
Transportation and Telecommuting
NHeLP contributes over $100 per month to all employees that participate in public transportation and/or bicycling. These funds are offered through our Commuter Benefits Plan. NHeLP also allows most staff to telecommute one day a week. Employees with longer commutes have the option of discussing additional telecommuting options.
