Ronald L. Wisor, Jr. is a partner at Hogan Lovells, where his primary focus is healthcare fraud and abuse compliance, with an emphasis on helping clients navigate the application of anti-kickback, “Stark” self-referral, and false claims prohibitions in ways that allow them to engage in competitive business arrangements and promote greater access to their products and services. Mr. Wisor also defends clients in health care fraud investigations and enforcement actions and deals frequently with the U.S. Department of Justice and the Office of Inspector General of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.
A recognized leader among Washington, D.C. health care lawyers, Mr. Wisor regularly advises clients on coverage and reimbursement of new technologies, assists clients in addressing Medicare and Medicaid billing issues, and has vast experience in dealing with other complex regulatory issues in areas such as research compliance, genomics, personalized medicine, and digital health.
Prior to joining Hogan Lovells in 2006, Mr. Wisor was a partner with another law firm in Washington, D.C. Before law school, Mr. Wisor spent four years as a commissioned officer in the United States Navy, where he served on the guided missile frigate U.S.S. McClusky through two deployments to the Persian Gulf as a member of the Navy’s Middle East Force.
