K.T. Firstenberger (they/them) is a Grants Manager at the National Health Law Program (NHeLP). They believe health care is a human right, and are proud to support NHeLP’s capacity to affect positive change by securing and maintaining funding for NHeLP’s projects.
They previously worked as a consultant, assisting Los Angeles County agencies in acquiring and administering federal funding for housing and healthcare programs. Before that, K.T. led disability and housing advocacy teams in Portland, OR, and then Los Angeles, managing the funding for this work from state and local grantors.
K.T. received their B.A. from Oberlin College and their J.D. from Brooklyn Law School, where they were a Pro-Bono Scholar with the Bronx Defenders and Disability Rights New York.
In their free time, they love to spend time outside with their partner and dog.
