TennCare by its own admission failed to comply with a federal judge’s order to promptly address some of the backlogged Medicaid applications caused by a flawed eligibility system.
The process it set up to rectify the problem came with yet another set of glitches. As a result, Tennesseans who had already waited months to learn if they were eligible for coverage didn’t get their cases addressed within a 45-day requirement set by U.S. District Judge Todd Campbell.
