NHeLP Celebrates Respect for Marriage Act

The National Health Law Program (NHeLP) celebrates the bipartisan Respect for Marriage Act that President Biden signed into law today. We stand in solidarity with all of the lawmakers, organizers, and advocates who have worked to move us closer to the inclusion and acceptance of LGBTQ+ marriages and families.

Marriage Equality is a human, social, and civil right. In the U.S., there are hundreds of rights afforded to married people, and LGBTQ+ couples are entitled to the same access to the social and economic benefits afforded to opposite-sex couples.
