Tim Sookram is an Equal Justice Works Fellow and attorney in the National Health Law Program’s North Carolina office. His work centers around the interaction of automated decision making, benefits determinations, and individual rights in Medicaid.
Before joining the National Health Law Program, Tim spent several years working in the tech sector as a web designer and developer.
Tim received a B.A. from the University of Texas at Austin, and graduated with honors with a J.D. from the University of North Carolina School of Law. During law school, Tim worked as an intern at the Supreme Court of North Carolina, the National Health Law Program, and Legal Aid of North Carolina’s eviction diversion program in Durham.
In a previous life, Tim used to sing and play electric guitar for rock and roll bands in nightclubs.
