Shira Most is the National Health Law Program’s Director of Grants Management. Based in the Los Angeles offices, her responsibilities include identifying funding opportunities, writing grant proposals and reports, and building relationships with outside donors and foundations.
Shira has worked in the area of nonprofit development for more than three decades. Prior to coming to the National Health Law Program, she served as the Regional Director of the Jewish Federation of Los Angeles, for which she supervised all activities in the South Bay office, including training volunteers and Board members, planning the annual campaign, and managing the budget. She also served as the development director of Second Harvest Foodbank of Greater South Bay.
Before moving to California, Shira served as a consultant for primary health care centers, including Whittaker Medicus Corporation and Fowler Health Care Affiliates. She provided technical assistance and strategic advice in several areas, with a special focus on resource development and Board training.
Shira holds a B.A. in psychology and an M.S.S.A. degree in health administration and planning from Case Western Reserve University.
