Jessica AlHassen is the National Health Law Program’s Office Manager for its Los Angeles, California office. Her tasks include supporting the office’s attorneys in an array of projects and work. As the CA Office Manager, she is the assistant to the office’s managing attorney and its operations.
Before joining the National Health Law Program, Jessica was a fellow with George Washington University’s Food Policy Leadership Institute. Additonally, she was a public health advocate in the greater LA area, where she helped train youth leaders as advocates for issues involving access to drinking water, school lunches and safer parks. While in undergrad and later as a fellow she organized with the Real Food Challenge across the Cal State University system to pass a university policy with a commitment to purchasing 20 percent more sustainable food by 2020. She received her B.A. from Cal Poly Pomona.
Jessica has two cats named Fuji & Apple and enjoys doing embroidery.
