Fighting for Health Rights for All
Attorneys litigating in state and federal courts and policy advocates fighting to advance access to quality health care for low-income and underserved individuals.
Advocacy Highlight: Eligibility & Enrollment
Immigrant Health
Our existing Medicaid and public benefits programs purposefully exclude the majority of immigrants. The result of these policies is, of course, significant disparities in insurance status and health outcomes for immigrants. We are working to ensure that all people have equitable access to health care regardless of their immigration status.
Eligibility & Enrollment
The Eligibility & Enrollment team works to ensure that low-income people can access the health coverage and care they need in two ways: first, by expanding who is eligible for health coverage, and second, by ensuring that paperwork and administrative barriers do not prevent eligible people from enrolling and staying covered.
Disability Access
People with disabilities have the right to equal access to health care. All too often, Medicaid enrollment and renewal process are not accessible and fail to provide reasonable accommodations. Our Eligibility & Enrollment team advances policies and practices that eliminate these discriminatory barriers so that eligible people can get and keep their coverage.
